1. How long have you worked for SafetyCall International?
Just over 6 years-time has flown by!
2.What does your job entail (brief overview of your job) ?
I’m the HR Manager and am involved in recruiting, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, company culture activities, payroll/benefits, strategic planning and whatever else comes up that I need to help with.
3.What is your favorite aspect of your job?
I absolutely love the people I work with. Its very rewarding to be involved at all levels of an employees’ employment journey with us from the interviews to onboarding to helping them develop/grow within the organization. We have such an impressive team here at SCI/PPH. Our employees come from many backgrounds and have different personalities, and I always think its so neat to see us all come together to work towards the same mission of saving human and pet’s lives!
4.What is the best career lesson that you have learned?
Trust your gut! Intuition is very important and although it might not always be accurate, it can definitely help serve as a reminder to further explore things that help make better decisions.
5.Which 3 of SafetyCall’s 7 core values and principles do you resonate the most with and why? (Respect, Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Teamwork, Professionalism and loyalty)
- Accountability-I pride myself on being very available to my coworkers and ensuring my work is always completed in a timely fashion so that others can continue to move forward as well.
- Teamwork-teamwork is such an important value for us at SCI and I’ve always appreciated that. We really respect each other’s opinions here and everyone’s input is valuable. That team mindset leads to us being a successful team and company!
- Integrity- I love that this is a value of ours at SCI. Integrity is so important in our line of work, not only in those that we support externally, but how we support each other internally as well. Our leadership team has done a great job of ensuring transparency here and that honesty is something I greatly appreciate as an employee. It makes me feel proud to work here!
