Youssef Roman
Dr. Roman is a Clinical Toxicologist with SafetyCall International and he has been with the organization since 2013. He is also a PhD Candidate at the University of Minnesota, College of Pharmacy. In addition to conducting both clinical and laboratory‐based research as well as providing classroom teaching to PharmD students, Dr. Roman is a practicing pharmacist. Dr. Roman received his Baccalaureate Degree in Science from Portland State University, Portland, Oregon and his Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from Oregon State University, Corvallis, Oregon. Then he joined the Experimental and Clinical Pharmacology Department as a graduate student where he is earning his PhD.
Dr. Roman’s research is in the area of clinical cardiovascular therapeutics with an emphasis on the aspects of drug use in which pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and pharmacogenetics impact clinical outcome. The objective of his research is to identify means to optimize clinical outcomes by minimizing toxicity and improving efficacy. Therapeutic areas of interest include hyperlipidemia, hypertension, hyperuricemia, and heart failure.”
